Propaganda In The Russian Revolution

Propaganda is a set of messages aimed at influencing the opinions or behaviors of large numbers of people. Propaganda presents information in order to influence its audience. Propaganda often presents facts selectively to encourage a particular synthesis, or gives loaded messages in order to produce an emotional rather than rational response to the information presented. The desired result is a change of the cognitive narrative of the subject in the target audience to further a political agenda. Through propaganda, I can learn about Russian revolution. Russia had the shortage of national products including food and weapons. It promoted people to love their country and sacrifice for their country.

The person in this poster is Vladimir Ilyich Lenin. He was intellect, honour and conscience. He loved the country and he sacrificed himself for his people and his country. He did everything to make Russia prosperous such as he made his people loved the country and did everything to make the country thrive so the national products increased.

The man in the poster is Joseph Stalin. He used a lot of politics to reach to the top. This propaganda poster shows that Stalin is a strong, tender gentleman. He is then respected by some flowers. The showing of Stalin made the people believe and feel confident that the country will be success because Stalin was a strong leader. When they felt confident, it made the people work harder and wish that the country will be a great nation. It made the people unite.

The poster shows that if we protect the nature, it means we protect the country. If the nature is good, the country will be good. But if the nature is not good, the country will be not good too. The nature is as important as the country. It promotes to build instead of destroy. To protect the nature, it includes living things such as animals and plants.

After I looked at these posters, I think that the Russian people did not feel confident in their country. They still needed encouragement and assurance from their leader and they were not sure about the strength of their country. The propaganda is one of the ways to fulfil their needs. The propaganda has no disadvantage provided it did not distort the fact that the people already know. If the fact is distorted, the people will not believe the things that the propaganda said.
